GJD festive gesture supports local community

Heywood, Greater Manchester

Today GJD staff are wearing festive jumpers to support Key 103’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign, which aims to make Christmas special for local children.

One in three children are living in severe poverty in Greater Manchester. This means there are children going to bed without a hot meal, living in a house without central heating. Sadly, over 150,000 children in Greater Manchester might not have a present to open on Christmas Day. In 2015 Mission Christmas raised over £2 million in gifts and cash and supported over 51,500 local children. In partnership with UKFast, B&M, MID Communications, Optegra and Bathroom Takeaway the aim is to raise even more this year.

The GJD team will be joining hundreds of thousands of people in schools, offices and homes up and down the country as they sport a festive sweater for the day and donate £1 or more.

Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s Managing Director commented: This is GJD’s first ever official Christmas jumper day and everyone is looking forward to having a festive day, whilst backing a fantastic cause to make a child’s Christmas special and give something back to the local community.”
